Women in their thirties like drinking in the summer

Dutch lifestyle magazine, Viva, has conducted research regarding female drinking habits. More than 400 women participated in the research. The results show that women don’t like working with hangovers, but do like drinking in the sun.

About 91 percent of all women who participated said they occasionally like to drink alcohol. As many as 68 percent of the women say they drink significantly more alcohol in the summer. Most of the women prefer drinking at home or in bars and beer and wine are the most popular drinks. Prosecco, cocktails and other drinks are not nearly as popular.

Like men, women prefer drinking with friends (39 percent) or with their partner (25 percent). Women rarely ever drink alone. Only 2 percent of the questioned women drink alcoholic drinks without any company.

Hangover

Showing up at work with a hangover can sometimes be a big problem. More than one fifth (21 percent) of the respondents admit that their work sometimes suffers from hangovers. Yet few women actually go to work when having a hangover. Only 2 percent of all women have a hangover at work every week. 53 percent of the women said this happens very rarely and 37 percent of the respondents say they have never had a hangover at work.

The Dutch magazine Viva also unveils other interesting and funny information about womens behaviros in and around the house. The research shows that this summer lot’s of Dutch women bought the so called vliegengordijnen (Fly Curtains) for decoration.
